TEHRAN -- Turkish translator Nezahat Basci is preparing more Iranian stories for his fellow children in a collection named “A Collection of Iranian Stories”.

Her plans are to render a collection of 50 stories selected from both classic and contemporary Persian literature, she told the Persian service of MNA on Thursday.
A translation of ten tales of the anthology has been completed so far, she added.
The collection comprises four sections. The first section has been dedicated to stories from classic Persian literature and the second is for fairy tales.
The third part will bring fables selected from Rumi’s works and the last part is allocated to comedy written by authors such as Mohammadreza Bairami, Samad Behrangi, and Ali-Ashraf Dravishian.
Basci said that some of the stories are adaptations of stories written in the classic Persian literature.
She expressed hopes that the collection will be published next year.
“The collection is being prepared for children,” she said, adding, “However it can be read by adults too.”
Authored by Iranian children’s writer Hushang Moradi Kermani, “The Stories of Majid,” “Sweet Jam,” “Like the Full Moon,” “The Tandoor” “The Cruse” have previously been translated by Basci into Turkish.
Many volumes of Persian literature have been translated in Turkish by Basci and her husband, Veysel Basci, both of who are students of Persian language at the University of Tehran.
